PES congratulates FEPS first President DAlema

At the last General Assembly of the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS), on June 30th 2010, former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D?Alema was elected President with the unanimous support of its members.

PES President Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, commenting on the appointment, said: ?I congratulate Massimo D?Alema for his election. He will be the first one to hold this important office and I am absolutely certain he is the right man to lead our progressive foundation and to contribute with his experience and vision to the success of progressives in Europe and beyond.?
